These terms constitute a binding agreement between the Client ("You") and Skia Privacy ("The Provider").
1. Authorized Agent Status
By retaining Skia Privacy, you grant us a Limited Power of Attorney to act as your "Authorized Agent" for the sole purpose of data privacy.
-
You authorize us to contact third-party data brokers (e.g., Whitepages, LexisNexis) on your behalf.
-
You authorize us to create temporary email accounts ("Burner Emails") in your name to manage these opt-out requests.
-
You authorize us to submit the redacted identity documents you provide to verify your identity with these brokers.
2. Nature of Services & Guarantees
Skia Privacy employs "Commercial Best Efforts" to remove your personal information. However, due to the nature of the internet, we cannot guarantee:
-
Total Anonymity: New data breaches occur daily. We cannot prevent future leaks, only clean existing ones.
-
Instant Results: While we submit requests within 24 hours, search engines (Google/Bing) may take 2-4 weeks to clear their cache. We do not control Google's indexing speed.
-
Third-Party Compliance: Occasionally, a data broker may refuse a deletion request. In such cases, we will document the refusal and advise on further legal steps, but we cannot force compliance.
3. Client Obligations
To perform our duties, you agree to provide:
-
Accurate Information: We cannot remove data we do not know about. You must disclose all variations of your name, past addresses, and phone numbers.
-
Identity Verification: You agree to provide a valid, government-issued ID (with sensitive numbers redacted) if required by a Tier-1 data broker. Failure to provide this may result in an incomplete scrub.
4. Payment & Refunds
-
Audits: Fees for Privacy Audits are non-refundable once the report has been generated.
-
Scrub Services: Because our work is labor-intensive and begins immediately, we do not offer refunds once the initial removal requests have been submitted (typically 24 hours after onboarding).
-
Retainers: Monthly "Active Shield" subscriptions may be canceled at any time with 30 days' notice.
5. Limitation of Liability
Skia Privacy is a risk mitigation service, not an insurance provider. We are not liable for:
-
Identity theft, financial loss, or physical harm that occurs before, during, or after our engagement.
-
Data that repopulates on the web after our engagement ends.
-
The security practices of third-party platforms (e.g., Google, Facebook, JotForm).
By submitting an inquiry or payment, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms.
